case that was as small as possible, I happened to find a video about the <a href=\"https://amzn.to/3A2fkT6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Cooler Master MasterBox Q500L</a>, so I decided to use it.</p>\n<p>I copied quite a lot of the build from this video too.</p>\n<div class=\"gatsby-resp-iframe-wrapper\" style=\"padding-bottom: 56.25%; position: relative; height: 0; site when checking the motherboard specs and ports.</p>\n<p>Official site: <a href=\"https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/TUF-Gaming/TUF-GAMING-Z490-PLUS/\" target=\"_blank\" It can use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth! As for Bluetooth, I also needed to install a separate LAN card.</p>\n<p>First of all, it seems that this official site was based on the Wi-Fi-enabled model of the TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS, which cost about 15,000 yen more than the one I bought, so my model did not come with a LAN card.</p>\n<p>And as for Thunderbolt3, it seems it was not included as standard either—rather, it just had an expansion connector for it.\nToo bad.</p>\n<h3 id=\"i-ended-up-buying-a-gpu-almost-immediately\" style=\"position:relative;\"><a href=\"#i-ended-up-buying-a-gpu-almost-immediately\" aria-label=\"i ended up buying a gpu almost immediately permalink\" class=\"anchor before\"><svg aria-hidden=\"true\" focusable=\"false\" height=\"16\" version=\"1.1\" viewBox=\"0 0 16 16\" width=\"16\"><path fill-rule=\"evenodd\" d=\"M4 9h1v1H4c-1.5 0-3-1.69-3-3.5S2.55 3 4 3h4c1.45 0 3 1.69 3 3.5 0 1.41-.91 2.72-2 3.25V8.59c.58-.45 1-1.27 1-2.09C10 5.22 8.98 4 8 4H4c-.98 0-2 1.22-2 2.5S3 9 4 9zm9-3h-1v1h1c1 0 2 1.22 2 2.5S13.98 12 13 12H9c-.98 0-2-1.22-2-2.5 0-.83.42-1.64 1-2.09V6.25c-1.09.53-2 1.84-2 3.25C6 11.31 7.55 13 9 13h4c1.45 0 3-1.69 3-3.5S14.5 6 13 6z\"></path></svg></a>I ended up buying a GPU almost immediately</h3>\n<p>About a week after assembling it, I added a low-end <a href=\"https://amzn.to/3dfrVbU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">GeForce GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 </a> graphics card.</p>\n<p>The reason was that, as mentioned above, Thunderbolt3 was not available by default, so I could not use USB-C as a display output, which meant I did not have enough ports for a three-monitor setup.</p>\n<p>At first, I also considered buying the <a href=\"https://amzn.to/3hejjmV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">GIGABYTE GC-TITAN RIDGE 2.0 Thunderbolt3 拡張カード </a> to add Thunderbolt3 support, but it was fairly expensive, so I thought I’d probably be happier plugging in a low-end GPU that cost about the same.</p>\n<p>Honestly, if I was going to buy a GPU this soon anyway, I do have a slight regret that I might have been better off going with Ryzen from the start and saving a bit more on the chipset as well.</p>\n<h2 id=\"summary\" style=\"position:relative;\"><a href=\"#summary\" aria-label=\"summary permalink\" class=\"anchor before\"><svg aria-hidden=\"true\" focusable=\"false\" height=\"16\" version=\"1.1\" viewBox=\"0 0 16 16\" width=\"16\"><path fill-rule=\"evenodd\" d=\"M4 9h1v1H4c-1.5 0-3-1.69-3-3.5S2.55 3 4 3h4c1.45 0 3 1.69 3 3.5 0 1.41-.91 2.72-2 3.25V8.59c.58-.45 1-1.27 1-2.09C10 5.22 8.98 4 8 4H4c-.98 0-2 1.22-2 2.5S3 9 4 9zm9-3h-1v1h1c1 0 2 1.22 2 2.5S13.98 12 13 12H9c-.98 0-2-1.22-2-2.5 0-.83.42-1.64 1-2.09V6.25c-1.09.53-2 1.84-2 3.25C6 11.31 7.55 13 9 13h4c1.45 0 3-1.69 3-3.5S14.5 6 13 6z\"></path></svg></a>Summary</h2>\n<p>That was my record of building my own PC this time, including the planned configuration and the mistakes I made.</p>\n<p>There were a few things I got wrong, but the PC is extremely comfortable to use, and the total cost came in far below my 210,000-yen budget, so I’m very satisfied.</p>","fields":{"slug":"/diypc-mypc-entry-en","tagSlugs":["/tag/自作pc/","/tag/備忘録/","/tag/english/"]},"frontmatter":{"date":"2021-06-29","description":"I tried building my first custom PC during the recent Amazon Prime sale.
